Hady Mirza is Asian Idol.
And now hordes of them (mostly non-singaporeans) are conveying their disapproval over the net. Just like many others, it did not occur to me that Hady could win, since it all seemed more like a population contest rather than a singing one. The number of votes a country would get, would be highly dependent on its population size. Therefore i expected it to be Indon or India lolx. So what obviously happened was, since there had to be 2 choices per sms,those big countries underestimated Singapore's potential of winning, got complacent and preferred to vote for the seemingly harmless Hady as the other choice instead of close competitors such as Jac & Mau. when it's U who made Hady Asian Idol, why regret? Hady's mistake lies in his song selection which didn't showcase his calibre much and that made him pale in comparison to Jac, Mau n Mike who opted for more ambitious numbers. He might nt be the strongest in the competition, yet he WAS NOT THE WEAKEST. Give that poor guy a break. Nevertheless, congrats to our humble Singaporean star.
